Effective Dates: January 2nd- August 7th, 2018 (Uranus in Taurus May 15th, 2018)
Helios on Uranus Direct– Heretics, you are reading that right; Welcome to the home stretch of Uranus in Aries. 2018 is shaping up to be a dramatic year, with Saturn moving into his home sign of Capricorn last month and Chiron finally getting out of Pisces later this year. Make no mistake, these are monumental shifts and it is the end of one era while heralding a new one on the horizon, bearing down fast. We are officially putting the Cardinal Crisis in our rearview, once and for all.
For Uranus’ part in the #NewOrder2018, consider this your time to get your house in order. His trek through Aries has been a demand from the Universe to get you off your ass and into the driver’s seat of your own life. During the Cardinal Crisis it was you against the system, and the system clearly won- But you can still claim the ultimate victory: Taking yourself out of the game and getting back to the business of living. At some point, every battle ends, and the survivors go back to real life. Battle and combat… it changes you- You adapt to that mentality, thinking like a soldier, and get used to that because you are surrounded by other soldiers. It becomes like a drug and all of a sudden you are forced into withdrawal. Switching gears and coming home from a hard-fought battle that you don’t feel like you won will be difficult, for everyone involved.
Uranus in Aries has been a ride, where we felt the thrill of going full-speed the whole time, but that runs out. In Nordic tradition, there were warriors who could enter a trance-like state where the lust of battle overwhelmed them, and they stopped thinking to become living weapons capable of chopping down entire armies. They could eat fire and dull swords turned on them with just a look. Uranus in Aries has honed us into these living weapons, and the frenzy is in us, boiling and bubbling under the surface, waiting to be unleashed. While in battle, we are gods of the battlefield, but such power has a price, and one that we will carry into the future- “If a soldier survives the berserk state, it imparts emotional deadness and vulnerability to explosive rage to his psychology and permanent hyperarousal to his physiology — hallmarks of post-traumatic stress disorder in combat veterans” (Jonathan Shay)
You will want to attack at every turn, to reclaim some sense of power and control over your situation, however the only control you will find is when you are no longer ruled by the chaos in your heart. Hang on to the raw vitality of Uranus in Aries, the electric fire in your veins that urges you to do MORE and overcome any obstacle in your way. Push, push, push on he tells us; Fight, conquer, WIN! It feels so good when you have battles to fight and enemies to conquer, but what happens when you stand alone on a pile of bodies? What you are challenged to do right now is walk away from the battle and win the war, by claiming victory over yourself. How do you do this? Take the time NOW to master your emotions and bring them to heel, once and for all.
Throw down your sword and win over yourself now, but keep it close- we’re not out of the woods yet.
What I am also noticing already is that everyone is excited, and coming up with all of these new ideas now, on how to change their lives and reinvent themselves. This is prime Uranus ingress behavior. Pursue these ideas and stick with them- make them real, put in the work. It’s not enough to just have the concept, you need to show that it works. Much will change in the months to come, and new opportunities will reveal themselves to you. Use the momentum from Uranus to propel you into the new paradigm like a bullet from a gun.
Uranus is the planet of progress and change. Like it or not, he moves us forward and we are just along for the ride. Work with him, and you will find a much easier shift into tomorrow than if you kick and scream the whole way through. Of course, he is only one part of the future- Every upheaval needs something to replace the chaos and a new story to tell, with heroes unafraid to do the work that is necessary.
Welcome to the New Order, Heretics.
