Venus in Sagittarius: Moving On

“If pain must come, may it come quickly. Because I have a life to live, and I need to live it in the best way possible. If he has to make a choice, may he make it now. Then I will either wait for him or forget him.” ― Paulo Coelho

Effective DatesJanuary 7th- February 3rd 2019

Helios’ Astrological Angle on Venus IS FINALLY OUT OF SCORPIO!!!! PRAISE BE– Okay so, first of all- I want you all to breathe, relax, and breathe again, before congratulating yourselves for making it through that horrifically long and grueling Venus Retrograde. I warned Y’all, you thought I was being dramatic, and I honestly didn’t believe it myself- But then it happened, and here we are. So the question naturally becomes “Where do we go from here?”

That’s honestly the key to this transit- WHERE and GO. Venus in Sagittarius wants us to shake off whatever merde we are clawing at desperately to try to salvage the unsalvageable, and just come up and say:
Venus in Sag is one of those rare Venuses that I don’t hate. It wants to escape the trappings of deep emotion, especially pain- and that’s something we can all relate to right now. It’s important to remember that when I say Venus or whatever planet I’m ranting about, I mean us. As in, the part of you that loves, that feels, that wants comfort and happiness. That is what I mean by Venus. The planet above reflects the hidden parts within us. You are hurt, you are in pain, and are sick of it. More than anything, you want the pain to stop. Venus shows us that its time to do so, and the way to do it is by letting go and moving on. Stop clinging to what pains you, that was the point of the torture of Venus in Scorp- What you cling to is killing you and blinding you to the joy and beauty and cornucopia of experiences around you. Choosing to suffer is not holy, suffering is not sacred- happiness and joy are.

This is reinforced by the fact that Jupiter is also in Sagittarius- this is big (insert lazy Jupiter= big joke here) because it is his home sign, and when the King of the Gods is home, you pay attention. Everything is bigger, better, and brighter- The impossible suddenly becomes possible.  With Venus meeting him, battered and bruised, she makes it personal. You want to get OUT, to greener pastures, and Jupiter is the way to do that. Both of the Benefics together in the same sign shows that all you need do is hold tight to the dream like a Disney Princess and then actually CHASE AFTER IT- that’s the key. Action is demanded from you, which is good because the urge to ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING about your situation is burning within your chest.

Listen, the main question you need to ask yourself right now, is “What would make me happy?” It’s a simple question, but it leads to a lot of hard truths- It means that you have to accept that you are not happy now and that you WANT to be happy in the future. You need to address the disconnect between where you are and where you want to be and come up with clear, concise, actionable ways to bridge that gap. Finally, and arguably the most difficult step is that you need to be willing to let go of what you cling to and leap into a new life that doesn’t hurt you.
